I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Armut (Istanbul) in Aug 2018
Interview
I applied online and filled in a couple of questions regarding my motivation. Then I was asked for an interview, and as I was out of the country it had to be done online (which should be fine for a completely online company).
Though when the interview time came I received nothing on Skype & no reply to my emails. I received an answer the next day from HR saying that she was out of the office and that we should reschedule. That's it. No apology, nothing.
I was very interested in the position though so I ignored this inconvenience and suggested we meet face to face when I get back to Istanbul which was about a week later.
Received no reply, emailed 3 more times, still no reply. I really wanted to work for this company and was confused as to why I was suddenly not welcome anymore without an interview or feedback so decided to email the senior product manager with whom I was told I would have had the interview.
I received a call nearly straight after. I went for an interview the next day. It went really well. I thought we were on the same page and we were discussing the next steps.
The recruitment procedure required me to talk to HR and the co-founders and we agreed that it would be in the next week. Next week I received an email from HR saying that I cannot proceed to next stages. Again with no reason for not replying.
At the end I am glad it didn't work out as I would hate to work for a company who's HR is this unorganised and treats their potential employees like this. I would have thought that being the main role of HR they would at least apologise.
Reading other interview reviews I am anything but surprised other people had negative feedback as well. I suggest you all save yourselves some time and do not apply to this company.
