Straightforward interview. Discuss history and training. Simple code problems done in an IDE, and review/discussion. Afterwards, a meeting with the manager. Done in about 2 hours. Overall, a relatively typical process without a lot of running around.

Question 1
What are you most excited about in technology today?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Ascend Management Innovations (Nashville, TN) in Mar 2010
Interview
Walked into the office and the receptionist gave me an application to complete while I waited for the hiring supervisor to greet me. After about 10 minutes of sitting in the lobby, I was greeted by a nice lady who brought me back to the supervisor's office. The supervisor seemed very harsh and standoff-ish toward me. I had to practically beg for her to shake my hand.
She looked over my resume and asked me about my past work experience, during which she constantly cut me off in mid-sentence or took phone calls. She then went down a list of questions asking about customer service, and how I would handle irate clients. After I responded, she told me that my answers were wrong, and that I shouldn't try to understand or sympathize with customers. Huh? What kind of customer service job doesn't try to help their clients?
She told me straight-up "I don't tolerate any mess in my office. There will be no gossiping, no socializing, or chatting of any kind." During the entire interview she folded her arms and looked down at me from her desk. I felt like I was being interrogated by the FBI.
The work itself isn't very challenging, but having her as a boss would make me dread coming to work every day.
