      Account Executive Interview

      28 Apr 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Subang Jaya
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Aspiro (Malaysia) (Subang Jaya)

      Interview

This was the worst interview experience I’ve ever had. The interview lasted almost two hours — they informed me earlier about the duration, but honestly, if you ever get such a notice, take it as a warning. Who conducts a two-hour interview for an entry-level position? The questions they asked made little sense. If they are looking for experts in the field, they should hire experienced professionals and offer a higher salary, not target fresh graduates just because they are cheaper. Fresh graduates only have basic knowledge from internships — expecting them to perform at an expert level is unrealistic. They asked what kind of work environment I preferred and claimed their company was “friendly,” but the interview atmosphere was anything but friendly. I’ve attended interviews before, and most were welcoming — this one felt more like an interrogation than an interview. It honestly left me traumatized, and it took me two days just to mentally recover. What’s worse, I found out from one of their team members (before the main interviewer even arrived) that they had already interviewed many candidates before and rejected all of them, claiming they were “not qualified.” If they already believed candidates weren’t qualified, why even invite them for interviews? After experiencing the interview myself, it became very clear: they were looking for experienced people willing to accept a fresh graduate’s salary. If they want cheap labor, they shouldn’t expect candidates to come fully experienced — skills are built through working experience, not beforehand.
