I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Assignar in Nov 2021
Interview
I went through 2 interview rounds.
The first round was an interview with the engineering team lead of the team where the role would be placed. The questions revolved around understanding my professional background and interests, as well as my level of experience with key parts of the Assignar tech stack.
The second round was a technical interview with two members of this same team. The questions touched on UX, frontend and backend concepts, as well as general coding practices.
On the whole, I found the process really enjoyable. Everyone I met was super switched on but also open and easy to talk to, which allowed the interviews to flow nicely. I noticed they were all really present with me for the entirety of the interview too. The technical interviewers gave me gentle guidance when I was struggling to answer questions, and I actually learnt a lot in the interview. By the end, I thought they had built up an accurate picture of my capabilities.
Conversely, it was great to be able to engage directly with potential teammates and given their open responses to my questions, I was able to develop a good feel for the organisation's culture, values and ways of working, as well as what it would be like to work in that particular team.
Although I didn’t make it past the second round, I was given a detailed and reasonable explanation as to why, as well some additional feedback. I have gone through the recruitment process with a few companies lately, and Assignar really stood out with the level of care and consideration I was given as a candidate.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Assignar in Sept 2021
Interview
I had a total of four interviews. The first interview was with a Software Engineer just to get to know me. The second interview was an interview showcasing some projects I am working on. The third interview was to meet some more team members. The fourth interview was to meet with the VP Of Engineering.
After the fourth interview, I was told I would have an answer by the end of the week, but I received no response. Everyone I met with was nice to speak with; however, I would avoid interviewing with this company because it seems they are disorganized or do not value your time.

Question 1
How do you feel about working with a UX/UI specialist?
Hi,
Appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
We reply to all unsuccessful candidates and looking at this case, it does look that our reply was 3 days later than what we mentioned to you during the interview. We had a strong interest about this position and we were not in a place to make a call by the end of the week. We should have advised you about this delay.
Sorry we disappointed you.
All the best,
Pierre
