      Software Engineer Interview

      9 Jun 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Milwaukee, WI
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Astronautics (Milwaukee, WI) in May 2012

      Interview

Standard 4 hour interview, met with multiple people each time. They asked questions of my current work experience and asked to explain one of the systems in detail. Interviewees should expect to explain systems in detail and have a good understanding of the languages they use. Overall, they are very process oriented and pay a great deal of attention to detail.

      Anonymous employee

      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Astronautics (Milwaukee, WI)

      Interview

Applied during my last semester of college and took about a few weeks to get the offer. Spent the day being interviewed at HQ by four of six different people (I don't really remember). Interview consisted of behavior and technical questions. All of them I thought were straightforward and basic. The highlight of the interview is seeing their labs (what cool gadgets), getting a free lunch (food means a lot to starving college kids) and ridding the escalator. Seriously they have one. Some questions were Where do you see yourself in 5 years? What is a abstract class? What are your hobbies? Do you have an interest in avionics?
