Interview, case interview testing consulting skills (easier relative to other consulting firms), team interview, follow-up partners meeting interview (1 partner meeting for one hour), HR interview (30 mins), follow-up with offer letter
Pretty straightforward interview process. Behavioral was normal interview questions for a consultancy. Beware that the interviewer types and records everything you say, but ironically it made it easier for me because it forced me to slow down and sometimes explain myself for clarification.
I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Avascent in Oct 2014
Interview
First Round interview conducted on campus, 30 minute behavioral and 30 minute case study. The Case study was more relaxed and casual than some; they seemed to be looking for basic analysis skills. The Behavioral consisted of answering questions regarding my background. Second round; I was flown to DC on their dime. I had 4 interview while there, one with a senior associate, 2 other employees at lunch, one with a senior manager and one with HR. They are a very specific company because they operate in government driven markets, so knowing about government driven markets, having experience with them is important.
