I applied through a recruiter. The first round was with the head of the product and was mostly around behavioral questions. The second round was more technical and based on UX design principles and user flows.
However, I got weird feedback from one of the senior designers. I was asked where I see myself 10 years from now on to which I answered, I see myself as a product designer/owner as I would like to mentor junior designers as well as manage the product life cycle from discovery to delivery stage.
Straightaway I got a rejection stating that they want someone who can work as a Senior UX Designer. It means that they want their employees to be at the same level even after 10 years. Also, it shows that they give importance to your job title than your expertise.
I would avoid working for a company that undervalued your career aspirations and is uninterested in your future career goals and progression.
