The interview was pretty relaxed overall. They asked me questions about myself, my personality, some situational scenarios, and a few things from my resume. It definitely depends on the department — some teams keep it casual, while others ask tougher, more technical or unexpected questions that you might not always know how to answer.

Pretty straight forward interview consisted of previous research experience and what type of data entry programs have I used before. There was also a short written essay portion that pertains to your ability to write scientific manuscripts.

Casual phone interview followed by a more formal phone interview with two other people. The latter interview mostly focused on behavioural questions and some content-specific questions (programming related since that is what the position was about)
