first a cv screening, then there's a short skype interview with an hr asking you general questions not related to software sales (tell me about a time you...) if you pass, they invite you to do an assessment day (5 hours of interviews).
- interview with an HR or a business development representative. My interview was with a business development representative, very nice, asked questions like: why bmc, why software sales etc. People who had an interview with an HR lady said she put pressure on them and that it was pretty hard.
- a mock phone interview where you have to call a CEO and convince him to attend an event. First you call the reception and you have to give the name of the CEO (not mentioned on the sheet). Once you get by the reception, you reach the CEO's assistant who asks if you know the CEO, if you have already met, etc and finally you reach the CEO. After each call you receive feedback and you have to analyze what you did wrong and what could be improved.
-writing an essay (mine was about a person who inspired you most and why)
-an interview with a manager. Questions about software sales, about the sales process. Take notes, show that you're an active listener, you receive feedback and overall it’s a pleasant chat. My feedback was that I was supposed to tell how I expect this interview to go, e.g. first I’ll introduce myself, then I’ll talk about my experience, etc.
-a teamwork exercise, you’re asked to assemble a lego man with one or two persons
I didn’t pass to the next round but was offered an opportunity to work in inside sales in Ireland.
