      Summer Intern Interview

      23 Mar 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at BTIG (London, England)

      Interview

Extremely unprofessional. The interviewer turned up to the call 25 mins late, and proceeded to speak down to me extremely rudely and with disrespect throughout, to the point I have considered formally complaining. The interviewer spoke at me as if I were stupid, and spoke at me for the majority of the interview rather than asking me questions, saying that people like me don’t know how to work hard compared to him. I have since accepted a quantitative trading offer at a better company, and have a high level of education, so I am fairly confident this is untrue, and see this as highly unprofessional from an interviewer. From this interview, I got the impression that the firm fosters a culture which does not have respect for women (purely my opinion, from experience), so am glad to have not taken up a position there. I hope other people’s interview experiences there will be better.

Few questions were asked beyond questions about my background.
