I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Bain & Company in May 2016
Interview
Six interviews, three rounds of two interviews each. It was one of the toughest and most challanging processes I went through. A couple of case interviews were really difficult, with a sky-high level of ambiguity and plenty of curveball questions being thrown at me. However, two cases were pretty simple and straight forward. The fit portion was not as long as in most consulting firms. My general feeling is that Bain cares more about your creativity, insights and communication rather than your case-answering and structuring skills.

Question 1
5-10min - Fit questions (Why consulting, why Bain, why leaving your previous job, etc)
30-40min - Case interview
5-10min - Candidate questions
2 cases for R1. Pretty straightforward cases about revenue optimization opportunities. There was a little bit of market sizing but all data needed was given. No behaviorals asked in round 1 for me.
