1. Clinical Experience
• Be ready to clearly and confidently discuss your hands-on experience working with clients.
2. Recommending Services in Treatment Plans
• Prepare to explain how you determine appropriate service hours and types of services based on assessment data and clinical judgment.
3. 30–40 Hour Service Model
• Review the evidence base supporting intensive ABA (e.g., Lovaas studies, National Autism Center guidelines).
• Be ready to justify when and why a 30–40 hour model is appropriate, and how individualization plays a role.
4. Intake to Treatment Plan Process
• Be able to walk through each step:
• Initial intake and parent interview
• Record review
• Assessments administered
• Goal development
• Treatment plan writing and submission
5. Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Functional Analysis
• Be prepared to describe the full process of developing a BIP:
• Conducting FA (indirect, descriptive, experimental)
• Identifying function
• Creating antecedent, behavior teaching, and consequence strategies
• Monitoring and updating the plan
6. Assessment Tools Familiarity
• Be able to speak to your experience with:
