Fairly structured. Had to do an EDA with some chintzy signal in the data. Thought it went well enough. Was left alone and asked to present my thinking at the end.

Question 1
A gotcha type SQL question, that I solve in a different way.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at BioCatch in Oct 2021
Interview
A short phone interview with one of the data science team leaders. A three hours interview in the office. Half of it was a data science exercise and half I was asked questions about my experience and data science. Two interviews, one hours each with the VP data science and the chief data science. Both were more personal interviews
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BioCatch
Interview
Phone interview with HR for 30 min followed by a 3hr on site process composed of 3 steps - interview, assignment, assignment review. The 1st interview included sql and list comprehension questions and basic into questions. The assignment was to show an eda and design features based on the fraud / not fraud data set given. then 1 hour session to discuss the assignment. No real ML related question were asked, projects and such. no algorithmic questions. The interview felt like a data analyst interview at the ml level required but then in the end they asked about production level coding (but did not test). The overall feeling was that they don't know what they are looking for and gave a confusing vibe. They did not get back to me for 1 month after the interview.
