    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Birmingham City University (Birmingham, England) in March 2018.

    Interview

Applied online, got the invitation quickly.
It was one of the worst experiences in my life - I have never had such a humiliating interview.
Apparently, they had lots of candidates, as interviewers seemed to be very tired from all the talking - there was a head of the department and two other employees.
They didn't actually listen to what I was saying, just giggling because of my accent (I am not a native speaker) and taking notes. Which was weird as 1. all universities I have worked for so far were very welcoming for people from any "language" backgrounds and 2. the head of the department had a pretty strong accent herself. The only difference between me and her was my skin colour.
After I left I felt so bad about myself. I will never apply for a job here again.
They still didn't contact me to officially tell me that I failed, even though its been weeks since the interview.

    Programmer Administrator Interview

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at Birmingham City University (Birmingham, England) in July 2016.

    Interview

30 minute excel test based in the office where you would be working followed by 30 minute structured interview with three people who each took it in turns to ask a number of questions. All interviewers took notes during the process. At the end there was an opportunity for me to ask questions. The interview was on a Thursday and they said would be making a decision on Monday. It's now Wednesday and I am waiting for the official 'no' - would have been nice to have received a response by now in order to gain feedback on where I didn't meet expectations to help with future job applications and whether it would be worth applying to them again for any future vacancies - this would just help with knowing whether lost out to someone better on the day or just not suitable for them.
