      Interaction Designer Interview

      11 Sept 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Feldkirchen, Bavaria
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Brainlab (Feldkirchen, Bavaria) in May 2015

      Interview

This was a very embarrassing experience for me that I wish I didn't have to go through. I was working for Brainlab as an intern for a few months (which was originally 6 months but cut to 3 months because there was recently a minimum wage law imposed in Germany and they just "didn't have a budget" for my position), and I was fairly happy with the experience, so I wanted to see if I could stay in the company, in another position. I applied for a position that I was admittedly not qualified for, but since I did well in my internship I thought they might be interested in letting me learn the ropes on the job. And this is what I wish I was told before I started this whole process--that they were NOT willing to train me from the beginning. I was made to do a test and presentation, yet the panelists and interviews were very very clearly NOT interested in what I had to say. They had nothign to say about my presentation, and their attempts to be polite were just a jarring sign that this was going nowhere for me.To no one's surprise I got a rejection, but I was told by the HR person that I would be a better fit for another position, it's just that they didn't have any vacancies at the moment. A few days later, what did I find on their career website? A job ad for the job I was told I'd be a better fit for! I don't understand why they couldn't just be honest with me from the beginning (It's not as if HR hasn't rejected anyone before), considering I have already built a reasonable rapport with them. Lesson learned: if your instincts tell you that you're probably not getting any respect or you're not being taken seriously, leave and save yourself the time and embarrassment.

      7 Mar 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Munich, Bavaria
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Brainlab (Munich, Bavaria) in Dec 2017

      Interview

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      1. Frage: Woher kennen Sie Brainlab? 2. Frage: Was ist der Grund für Ihren Wechsel? 3. Frage: Was machen Sie in Ihrer Freizeit/Hobbies?
