Call with the head of sales and then a call with one of the reps in which you are then to have a call with both of them as a third step. They will tell you that you will hear back from the head of sales either way but instead you will likely get an automated rejection email which shows they have no respect for your time or professional integrity in general.

Question 1
Basic background questions about your professional history.
I applied through other source. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Built In (Chicago, IL) in Dec 2021
Interview
Disorganized phone calls that seemed rushed and the person on the other line was pretty dry and painful to speak with all throughout. I ended up excusing myself after 15 minutes.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Built In (Chicago, IL)
Interview
Met with a few people from the company during our on-site interview. There was a guy there who let me know that they believed in diversity and it showed because he was there (the only person of color). People I interviewed with were generally very nice however I could tell from the minute I walked in that they would eventually tell me I "wasnt a good cultural fit". A lot of these tech companies want to make sure they the culture remains as (white)right as possible. It almost felt like they feared I would be "too black" or something. I was a highly qualified applicant who was excited about the opportunity, however I felt like I was just there as a diversity effort to interview more people of color, not to actually hire them.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and feedback — it means a lot to our company. Diversity is an important initiative at Built In, and we know we have a lot of room to grow in this area. Your review really hit home and brings even more awareness to the importance of offering a culture that is welcoming to everyone. We recently hired a Senior Recruiter to not only take ownership of the recruiting process, but also to improve our strategy and efforts around diversity and inclusion. We truly apologize for the less than favorable interview experience you had with our company, and we are already using your feedback to improve the candidate experience going forward.
