Interview
Applied online and received a phone screen interview. That went very well and I landed a final interview via Microsoft Teams. The interviewers were extremely cold, uninterested, unapproachable, and didn't seem to want to get to know me or my background. I received an automated email stating I did not get the job and the recruiter did not respond to my emails asking for feedback.

Interview
I had a 20 minute telephone interview with a recruiter that went very well she was pleasant, very knowledgeable, and detail oriented. She really seemed impressed with me. I was told that I would be contacted within a week for an interview with management and received an email about 2 or 3 days days later with the link to a video interview. Fast forward while on the interview I met with two managers. The lady manager was very nice and down to earth with a great smile or and was very engaging, however the male interviewer did most of the talking and he kind of seemed as though he didn’t want to be there and his energy was a bit off so I didn’t like that. He really didn’t match the lady interviewers energy all that well. I was asked why I left my last company by him . He really picked apart my resume and asked why I transitioned from one role to another lower tier role with my last employer. Which was because I along with many other reps from my last job were asked if we wanted to volunteer to step down a notch in our previous role because the company needed help in frontlines . I gave honest answers . It just felt like he didn’t believe what I was saying. Like I said his energy was a bit off. He even asked why I left my previous job if before I had another job lined up. I don’t feel that was a typical interview question. I was thrown off by that question. I’m sure he was trying to find out if I was fired or something like that idk. I explained in so many words that I needed more of a challenge and that there wasn’t any growth for me at my last job. And there wasn’t! The only way up was to be a team lead and being an assist manager or team lead is not my desire at all so I left. I was stagnant at my last employer and needed to push myself to get out. Now I was forwarned by the recruiter that they use the star method in interviews so I practiced for that. I did answer most of the questions in the star format but there were about 3 questions that I did not. I was thrown off by him picking apart my resume. I worked for a very reputable company for the last 10 years after all. He basically asked behavioral questions but in a way that is more relaxed so you’ll feel like you should answer them naturally as if you’re having a casual conversation and maybe that’s where I missed up at because ultimately I did not get extended an offer . They sent me an email 3 days later stating that I wasn’t selected. I’m left in the dark as to why not. I feel that I am very qualified for the role . It’s disheartening really
