Round 1- written test with 20 questions (15 technical+ 5 puzzle)
Round 2- written test 15 questions (12 technical+ 3 puzzle)
Round 3- technique interview
Questions from circuit analysis, Digital Electronics, Analog Electronics and VLSI
I interviewed at Cadence Design Systems (Bengaluru)
Interview
It was a pool drive conducted through the placement department. They conducted a total of six rounds over two days. The first two rounds were written tests. On the next day, they conducted four rounds, with the last being the HR interview.
After that, there was no response from the company for three weeks. Later, a final shortlist of two students was released—me and one other candidate. A virtual interview was conducted, during which I was asked about my background, two aptitude questions, and one technical question. In the end, they selected the other candidate.
Personally, they were very nice to me, and I learned a lot from the experience. They don’t just test your existing knowledge. If you don’t know something, they explain it to you, and you are expected to use that information to solve the problem.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Network theory(most relevant), RC circuits, analog electronics, wheatstone bridge, transient analysis, digital electronics(least relevant), aptitude(only hr)
I applied through university. I interviewed at Cadence Design Systems (Bengaluru)
Interview
One trick question on MOSFET circuit and One basic question on digital logic. Can easily be answered if your basics are good. Try to practice a bit from various textbooks such a P.C Rakshit and you should be able to clear the preceding technical rounds.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Drew a mosfet circuit and asked me about its truth table. Asked me to make a NOT gate from an XOR gate.
