I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cambridge University Press & Assessment in Jul 2023
Interview
Terrible application process. The process involves three rounds of assessments. First round is a take-home coding challenge. You have two days to finish it. Even though I submitted it, I didn't receive any acknowledgement that they have received it, even after following up with an email. After they think your code is good, they will schedule you for a second round. In my case, there wasnt any feedback from the first round. They just decided I passed and that was it. Second round is a panel interview. Typical interview questions. A technical lead will be driving the interview. In my case, they asked my salary expectations, which was a HUGE red flag for me (they may have managerial responsibilities, but their linkedin bio says theyre a technical lead, idk). Third and final round is an interview with the development director from UK. Expect behavioral questions. It was radio silence after that. The recruiter, even after emailing a follow up for feedback, did not reply. Very unprofessional. Overall, its a waste of time.

Question 1
Write an app that simulates a passenger card loader, with discounts and for pwd/seniors. Funnily enough, their assignment was a one-to-one copy of another big-player company here in the APAC.

Interview
Depends on the hiring team, but generally 2 rounds of interviews: 1st with the hiring manager, then 2nd with a panel and higher ups. There are technical questions. For a senior developer role, I was asked about the behavior of certain code snippets to understand the depth of knowledge about the language. I was also asked a lot of technical situational questions to gauge how I would make decisions on technical matters.
