I was interviewed with two Indian Engineers who haven't had any discipline at all. Kept asking about OSI 7 layers which had very little to do with a backend engineer. He spent most of time wasting on OSI 7 layers, it was a 2 hour interview. They started laughing when I couldn't recall some information. They had no respect towards the candidate, I wasn't super familiar with the OSI layers since I studied it years back.
It was absolutely a waste of time and they made a very bad impression about the company culture. Luckily I had hand full of offers from good companies.
I'd suggest to seriously consider about these Indian guys if you are about to join Carousell. Because these guys think they are the god of IT and had no self respect for the candidate. I had very good grades in academics with a powerful experience in SE.
However I was able to make it through the 1st tech interview round and they kept calling me for the second round. I was keen on joining Carousell, and I knew I'm a right fit. But because of those senior Indians I refused to continue.
Again if you are a good candidate who appreciate a friendly work environment Carousell is not the right place till they have these Indian morons in house.
