I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Citadel (London, England) in Nov 2025
Interview
Technical interview with a DSA question. Online coding environment, and you were encouraged to use Python. The interviewer was from the team that I was interviewing for, and there was an expectation that you would not look anything up or use coding assistance.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The technical question was a Data Structures and Algorithms question of Leetcode Medium but couched in a way that initially made it seem like a finance question initially, as it was about balances.
There was an expectation that you would be able to implement the required algorithm from memory.
Online assessment with 3 coding questions on bfs and stacks etc.
First round on a simple coding question with some basic CS questions on top of it and also asked many CV questions and motivations
Did not proceed after this round
OA then phone interview, discussed about experience, coding rounds, and some open ended questions afterwards. The last 5 - 10 mins was for interviewee to ask questions back. Didn't pass this round :(
I had an HR screen where they asked about my experience at my previous company and to prepare for C++ to talk with the hiring manager. They asked about why I got laid off at my previous company.
