I found the job posting on LinkedIn and applied directly on the City Year website. I received notification that I was selected to start the interview process approximately two weeks after I submitted my application. The first step in the interview was a 35-minute phone screening. The second stage consisted of four 30-minute interviews with a variety of employees.
There are four interviews. The longest one is the second one. The company culture is reflected in their interviews as they are pretty laid back and bubbly. I enjoyed my experience with their interview process.
This was a phone interview that was concise, as the interviewer was interested in beginning the conversation with clarity around the position. Because of that clarity, we were able to determine that due to my salary needs, it wouldn't be beneficial for us to continue our conversation. As a job applicant, I really appreciated this concise and thoughtful clarity!
