I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at City Year (Dallas, TX) in Nov 2014
Interview
I submitted an online application including a resume, multiple recommendations and essay questions. I was asked in an email if I had any preference on where I wanted to serve and when I answered negatively, I was then sent an email containing information about City Year’s general requirements and expectations. I then scheduled a phone interview with emphasis on skills, past experiences and idealism.

Question 1
What is one conflict you had with someone and how did you resolve it?
Very simple. Quick virtual interview and pretty simple questions. Research their values and what not and you should be good to go. As far as I remember it was a single interview and decision is relatively soon after that.
Really friendly and welcoming. Try to make it as comfortable as possible and share about the work they do. They want to ensure applicants are making the right decisions and that they assess the values.

Interview
Done over zoom and not an overly long process interviews are usually conducted by the IM for a school in the city you are applying for but if you have a pulse you should be fine
