I have given the interview and it went well. But not sure whats the reason rejected profile and even they didn't asked much technical also. and I think its reckless behaviour. Then what is the purpose of interview.

I applied for the UX/UI Designer position and they send a goggle form for me to fill out with lots of technical questions along with basic information. Later, I got an email form HR that my application was rejected, and the reason was "Unfortunately, we won't be able to proceed with you at the moment as we are looking for candidates who have a slightly higher current CTC." which was first for me and got me thinking if this is how they operate than maybe it was a good thing I got rejected, saved myself from a work environment where HR policies are doomed, and skills aren't considered but numbers were.

I recently went through the interview process at this company, which consisted of two rounds. The first round involved completing a lengthy assignment, followed by a second round with the CEO. After completing both rounds, I received an update from their team stating that they had frozen the hiring due to internal issues.
I find it disappointing that the company didn't communicate this earlier, especially considering the time and effort I invested in the process. It raises questions about their transparency and respect for candidates' time. If they didn't have the bandwidth for hiring, they should have halted the process sooner rather than leading candidates on with assignments and interviews.
Based on my experience, I advise others to reconsider interviewing with this company. The lack of professionalism and consideration for candidates' time suggests a concerning organizational culture. It's important to prioritize companies that value their candidates and communicate openly throughout the hiring process. My advice to others is to avoid interviewing with this company altogether. Their lack of transparency and professionalism in handling the hiring process is concerning.
