I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Clever Devices (Plainview, NY) in Apr 2022
Interview
First thing out of hiring manager's mouth was travel was 50% minimum, which was not mentioned during screening call. It was over fast. I said this was not brought up during the phone screen, so it must have been left of the job req.

Question 1
Travel is 50% minimum. I don't want anyone who isn't going to do that.
Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. In terms of our Software Engineer positions and your concerns regarding travel, there must be a bit of confusion since our Software Engineers do not travel much, if at all. It could be possible that you interviewed for a different position (some of our positions outside of Software Engineers do require 35+% travel). For those positions we clearly indicate the expected travel % on the job postings, and discuss it during multiple stages of the interview process. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further we encourage you to reach out directly to our HR and Recruiting teams.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Clever Devices (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2019
Interview
Following a phone screening, where the interviewer seems to decide up front without listening to me that much as he was inpatient
invited for 2.5 hours HackerRank - solved 3 questions - each passed all unit tests. OMHO I could not do better that that. They have never got back to me until I've approached them after about 10 days, and found out that the hiring manager (no name of course) has EXACTLY returned that day

Question 1
Medium difficulty Java 7 collections and general programming. 3 HackeRank coding questions
Thank you for taking the time to express your comments and concerns about our process. I agree with you that 3 weeks is a long period of time for the process to take. Specifically in the Toronto office, we had a key member of the interview team out for an extended period, which was a main cause of the delays. We should definitely have communicated that to you in more timely manner, and for that we apologize. If you would like to discuss this with us in more detail, please feel free to contact us in the HR department in our NY based corporate offices.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Clever Devices in May 2018
Interview
A recruiter from Clever Devices Reached out to me on LinkedIn in late 2017 indicating that they were hiring multiple developers. After some back and forth they asked - or rather told - me to send them an updated resume. I did not hear back and assumed they'd moved on with their search. Months later, I got a call from the same recruiter, who seemingly did not remember our exchange, because they introduced themselves as if we hadn't talked, and we discussed the expansion of their Toronto office and a desire to hire more developers, mentioning that my resume was on file and that I stood out. After a brief screening, they emailed me to ask for an updated resume and provided a (very simple) technical test for me to complete. I sent my response to the test over on Sunday and was told by a colleague (CC'd on the email) that the original recruiter was out of town doing training and would respond within a few days. A month later, I had heard nothing. Respecting a candidate's time is evidently not a priority for this company.

Question 1
Data structures/algorithm questions such as reversing word order in a sentence.
Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear your experience during the interview process was not pleasant. We have the utmost respect for our candidates time, and do have processes in place to ensure a timely and informative interview experience. It is obvious that in your case we failed to live up to our own high standards, and for that we apologize.
