I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Climate Arc in Nov 2023
Interview
First round interview set up with 90 minutes notice, job description sent through 30 minutes before the call. Spoke with member of the leadership team. Conversation was good, easy to build a rapport with, was much more of an opportunity to understand the role and organisation.
Was told that I would be sent the questions prior to the second round, but even after chasing these didn't materialise and was told second round would be informal.
Second interview was with a another of the leadership team. The connection quality was poor and so difficult to engage with. Questions were broad and tricky to get an understanding of what was wanted.
No feedback was given as hiring manager was then away for 3.5 weeks (over xmas and new year period). Feedback amounted to the fact that they thought it would be difficult to build a rapport, based on a 30 min video call the morning after their xmas party. This is not feedback that needs to take 3.5 weeks to deliver, and shows a lack of respect for candidates time and energy.
