I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at CloudSek (Bengaluru) in Dec 2025
Interview
Interview Experience: Negative
Difficulty: Medium–High
Outcome: Not Selected
The interview experience was disappointing due to a clear mismatch between the job description and the actual interview expectations.
Although the role was advertised as a backend/API-focused QA or SDET position, the interview was heavily centered around Selenium UI automation, XPath construction on complex real-world websites, and UI-specific problem solving. This was not aligned with the skills emphasized in the JD.
**If they think skill set did not match why 3 rounds, they could have rejected me in the first or second round
Candidates with strong backend, API automation, and security testing experience should be aware that the interview prioritizes UI automation depth instead. The feedback cited “skill mismatch,” but this appeared to be due to shifting expectations rather than lack of capability.
The interviewers were professional, but the hiring process would benefit from clearer alignment between the job description and what is actually evaluated during interviews. This mismatch leads to wasted time for both candidates and interviewers.
