I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Comcast (Philadelphia, PA) in Sept 2011
Interview
I have a friend who works for Comcast, who referred me for an open position there.
Within a week of submitting my resume, I received a phone call from a Hiring Manager(?) who walked me through my resume and gave suggestions on which things I should add or elaborate on. They asked me to make these changes and then resubmit my resume.
After that, I received an email to schedule a phone interview. During the phone interview, I was asked a few things about my background, previous work experience, specific details about projects I was involved with, and why I wanted to leave my current employer.
I felt the interview went pretty good. I waited a few days before sending an email to inquire about the status of my application. After getting no response, I sent one final email a week after that.
I felt that was a very rude way to be treated, and I expected a little more common courtesy from this company. I would not even consider applying to this company again after being ignored like that. Also, their internet service is really overpriced.
