I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Comcast (Plymouth Meeting, PA) in Aug 2009
Interview
Contacted by recruiter had to get a phone interview, then take a personality test, then a skills and intelligence test. After I passed that, then I went on the 1:1 interview. Interviewer didn't really seem prepared and didnt even seem interested in the interview as soon as we walked in the door. She said they would contact me the following week and several emails and phone calls later I haven't heard anything, so I assume I didnt get the job
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Comcast (Englewood, CO) in Mar 2015
Interview
My résumé was reviewed by the supervisor of the department I was applying for & due to need of agents, I was transferred straight away. My hire time frame as an internal employee was shorter then the average due to the department's desperate need. It was a somewhat lateral move good for gaining cross training & more experience points & contacts that are good for future advancement. Having the support of your current supervisor is necessary. Obviously the higher you're trying to go, the more interviews are needed & it could take considerably longer then 14 days to transition into your new role after the final decision & in some cases after the final announcement have been made.

Interview
You're brought into a stadium of applicants, matched with a supervisor, taken into a cafeteria where you're interviewed at a lunch table surrounded by other applicants conducting their interviews. It was extremely impersonal and somewhat belittling - you feel a bit like cattle.
