      Caretaker Interview

      28 Sept 2023
      Anonymous employee
      Troy, OH
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Comfort Keepers (Troy, OH) in May 2019

      Interview

Had an interview with Comfort Keepers in Troy OH. The interview was at 10:30 in the morning. Since I applied online with my resume I knew I would probably have to fill out an application. I showed up at 10:15. When I walked in there was no one sitting at the desk, but they had the applications and pens laying out. I took an application and filled it out. And waited. There was nothing on the desk to inform someone that there was someone waiting. No bell, nothing. 10:45 came, and still I seen no one. I didn't even hear anyone. I was about ready to leave when someone finally came up front. Asked me if they could help me. I let them know I was there for my 10:30 interview. She asked me to please wait, walked to the back of the building again, and after waiting for another five minutes she came back and explained that someone would be with me. I waited until almost noon, one and half hours for someone to see me. And the interview lasted no more than 15 minutes and this included getting fingerprinted. I was not pleased. I found it very unprofessional and I have no doubt if I would have been an hour and a half late to the interview they would not have seen me and probably let me know how unprofessional I was. I did receive a job offer and took it. However, on the day of orientation I woke up with a major migraine and sick. I called to see if I could possibly come to the orientation that was happening the next week and was told me, they would have to let me go. They have a policy that you're not allowed to miss any work in the first 90 days. And that would be considered "missing work". So, I was fired before I had technically even started. I thought you wasn't technically an employee until you signed papers etc. Guess not. I am happy I got fired from this job, based on how they do things before you even technically started a job, I can't imagine how they would be once you did.

      Question 1

Tell me of a time when you had a conflict at work and how did you resolve it. They basically asked the same typical questions you're asked in every interview.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Comfort Keepers (La Mirada, CA) in Jan 2019

      Interview

It was ok, wasn’t to hard. It was actually very laid back and was more of a talking interview then questions. I did get the job and I was able to start working within two weeks.
