I had highlighted the requirement for visa sponsorship a few days in advance, and despite them not offering that, the recruiter scheduled the meeting, confirmed that they didn't offer that, and still thought it was a good idea to discuss my candidature even though they were never in a position to hire me. I don't understand how/why anyone would think that is a suitable use of anyone's time
