Initially, I had a phone interview with Compass. It was very typical - the recruiter asked standard first interview questions, were straight to the point, etc. I was then asked to partake in a second interview with three different individuals onsite. I had a very positive experience going into the office as everyone was uplifting, outgoing, and clearly all got along like friends. I then was asked to complete a final video call with a person from headquarters in NY where I was asked more challenging and direct interview questions. I doubted my answers during the final interview, but despite my opinion of how the interview went, received an offer for the job a few days later. Now that I work for Compass, I absolutely love it and understand why people say it is one of the best companies to work for. Everyone treats you like family and the culture/vibe is incomparable.

The interviews themselves were not difficult. They asked standard questions and I didn't feel like I was being interrogated or that there were any trick questions. Everyone I met and talked to was very friendly and kind. However, the length of the interview process was extremely drawn out for what is an entry-level position. There was a recruiter phone call, then a virtual interview with 2 members of the marketing team, another virtual interview with the hiring manager, and then after waiting 2 weeks I was invited to meet someone higher up on the marketing team in person in the office... after that, I had to wait 2 more weeks to hear that they had chosen someone else for the position. I liked everyone I spoke with, but this long drawn-out process with lots of long waits for a low-level position left a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel that my time was not respected. Even if I had received an offer, I wasn't sure if I was going to accept it because of this.
