HR was awfully rude. He asked about my skill sets and past work experience, and then told me the hiring team would only be able to offer the compensation up to the number which is 20% lower than my current comp if I got lucky….He continued with saying my skills and experience is a stretch to the role and he may try to convince the HM if I am willing to take the lower end comp. Considering myself having over 15 years of analytics background in both individual contributor and leadership roles, I kindly declined his attempt to move forward with my application.
