      Nurse Practitioner Interview

      21 Jan 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Diego, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Curology (San Diego, CA) in Sept 2018

      Interview

HR interview with nonmedical person. TYPING TEST RESULTS MUST EXCEED 60 WORDS PER MINUTE. I am a highly proficient NP with excellent tying skills.H owever, the DEMAND to exceed this speed is crazy. Especially because many f te tlemen responses are drop down answers once your hired. Because my tying did not exceed 6o words , I was unable to move forward. I never talked to a medical professional. The initial ire period is a nondirect hire without benefits for 3 months. No ability to save your own money through a 401K. i talked with a previous NP who left due to unrealistic demands for patient communication. Company has been looking for NPs inline for years. Always a add for the job. The engineers have a different role . Their software appears superb. Part of interview process is to send samples of the product. I was told I would 3 months product. Sample is a custom dose of retina A. Multiple other compounds are now available for antiaging that are considered better tan retinaA. I was to receive the sample once a month. I received 2 months of the 3 promised product. Company sends out so many emails it was too many emails for the sample period. As a NP you need to kw you dont have the patient relationships or phone contact. So, its very robotic . So, self rewards from tele visits may be different I dont recommend the company for a NP.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Curology

      Interview

the interview is unnecessarily tedious. I investigated at least 30 hours on preparing for all the steps of the interviews, there were at least 5 stages for the whole interview process, some of them seemed ridiculous (typing speed test, writing assessment, etc.) I understand as a online-based company these are important qualities to have, but being a good health provider is a lot more than typing fast or having good literacy... So I "passed" all the other test, and personally thought my interview with 5 others providers that currently work for curology went pretty well, and I thought they really liked me. The way they talked to me seemed like I'm a good fit for the position. But 3 weeks later I got a very brief email telling me that I'm not a good fit for the position without even giving me a exact reason. Horrible, horrible experience.
