Sent an email saying they wanted a phone interview. OK, day and a half no call. Doctors appointment next morning no call before appt. Get home and there is a voicemail saying to return the call in ten minutes or wait til next week.
Well it had been over an hour so I did not call. I checked my email later and saw an email stating she would be calling at 11 Pacific time. 12 my time. I sent several emails apologizing for missing the call asking to reschedule. It was forth of July weekend so I wasn't worried when I did not hear back. I sent another email early the fifth and that evening got an email " do not reschedule phone interviews"
Understood...IF I had confirmed the appointment for the phone interview by answering her email earlier in the day. Then I would not blame them. That would be rude and would mean I did not want the postion. End of story.
But to send an email and just assume I received it and then to not reschedule me when I missed her unconfirmed call was just unprofessional.
Guess it's her little power trip. Easy way to weed some of the candidates without even an interview. If you aren't lucky enough to get the email and be waiting for the call , or just by accident catch the call without seeing the email..then you're screwed.
Not the way to do business. Glad it wasn't a kidney I needed.
