An internal recruiter at DataGrail reached out to me via Linkedin for a position in Sales.
She no-showed our first scheduled time. In our re-scheduled meeting, she was clearly distracted. On camera, I saw her grab her phone twice to answer other messages while I was speaking. Next, she recovered by asking a question about an irrelevant job I worked 15 years ago.
I understand and accept not being the right fit, but the lack of attentiveness was unnecessary. It was also disheartening to be disqualified for the absence of previous experience at the position level, given I was approached on LinkedIn, where even a cursory glance at my profile would have conveyed this detail.
