Interview
As a admirer of what Deel has done previously, I got excited when the recruiter reached out to me to schedule an initial conversation. However, my excitement turned into frustration over the time.
The recruiter was around 15 minutes late. And only for the few first seconds she looked at me, and looked at other screens/stuff during the rest of the interview.
It didn’t felt like we were having a conversation, it felt more like I was getting interrogated by an AI. She asked questions that I already mention the answer in my previous answers, so I knew she wasnt paying attention at all.
At the end of the interview, she was going to send me a case study and I was going to present it to the hiring manager. We even decided on a few time slots, but she was first going to confirm the best suiting one.
Guess what? Never received the case study. Never got an answer to my follow up emails. I wish she just told me she didnt want to interview me to begin with.
With a 5-10 minutes search on r/sales, LinkedIn, and here Glassdoor, I found out I wasn’t the only one.
Started off good, but ended up in disaster. Was the most messy interview process, no dates available. Was delayed and then ghosted and didn't even explain why I didn't get the job
The SDR interview process at Deel appeared highly organized at first, but the actual interaction felt biased and inconsistent. I had the impression that appearance and personal perception influenced the interviewer's attitude more than qualifications or experience. Once they seemed uninterested, the discussion shifted toward unnecessary questions with very little real engagement.
A professional interview should make candidates feel evaluated on their skills, not on subjective impressions.
Very lengthy process and took from Jan to Mar. However, I get a response back fast, so that's something I appreciate. I started with a recruiter round -> hiring manager-> Role play+ presentation -> Regional Manager ->Culture Fit
