Initial Phone Interview: This was a 30-minute conversation with a recruiter. They asked about my background, experience with financial analysis tools like Excel or Tableau, and my interest in Deloitte. The tone was professional but friendly. Technical Interview (Virtual or In-Person): The next step was a technical round with a finance manager or senior analyst. I was asked to walk through a financial model, interpret financial statements, and solve a couple of hypothetical business scenarios. Questions focused on analytical thinking, understanding P&L, forecasting, variance analysis, and Excel proficiency. Behavioral Interview (STAR-Based): This round focused on soft skills and Deloitte's core values. I was asked questions like: "Tell me about a time you worked on a team project under pressure." "Describe a situation where you had to explain financial data to a non-financial audience." Final Interview / Partner Round: The last round was with a senior leader or partner. It focused more on my long-term goals, cultural fit, and how I align with Deloitte’s mission. This was more conversational, with some high-level questions about the future of finance and my career aspirations. Offer & Background Check: A few days later, I received a verbal offer followed by a formal written one. A background check was conducted before onboarding.
