I applied through the Discord website. Just a day later I received an email from the recruiter. A few days later I had a phone call with the recruiter, and a few days after that I had another with the manager. I later had a live coding session in which I was asked to implement an iOS application in around an hour. It wasn't too difficult and I was allowed to look up simple questions online.
After passing the live coding session, I was invited to an on-site interview. Discord payed for my flight ticket and hotel, as well as taxi, and meals. The on-site interview was comprised of 3 technical interviews, all of which were done on my laptop. In between the interviews I had lunch at a restaurant nearby with some of the team members.
My overall experience interviewing for Discord is very positive. The team was very welcoming, and all the interview questions were fair. If I had any questions during the interview process I was encouraged to email, text, or call the recruiter or manager. I ended up not accepting the offer due to personal reasons, however the offer was compelling. I would highly recommend anyone interested in Discord to apply. The team and the atmosphere are very inviting!
