      Stores/Merchandise Interview

      11 Mar 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Anaheim, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Disneyland Resort (Anaheim, CA)

      Interview

First step was to apply online for one of their part time positions. I originally applied for a different department, but I didn't have the relevant experience in the last 6 months so they offered me a job in a different department. I put in my original application about 3-4 months before I received an email from DLR Casting saying that I was to take a web based interview. It was essentially a personality test that I passed easily by answering to either extreme (Disney does not like in the middle answers). I was immediately sent an email asking me to schedule an interview, so I picked one a couple days later and went in to the Casting Center off of Ball Rd. I wore a suit to the interview and I noticed that some of the lesser dressed people who were there before me and left before me didn't get the job (just an observation). I checked in at the front desk 30 minutes early and was called in about 15 minutes later. She sat me down and asked me about 10-15 simple questions ranging from, "Do you have any visible tattoos or piercings" to "Tell me about an experience where you turned a bad guest situation into a good one." I had answers prepared for nearly everything she asked me so it was really easy. I got offered a job on the spot, I accepted, and was scheduled for onboarding that day. After onboarding, there was a one and a half week wait to my Traditions class and that was it.
