I was approached by a direct recruiter who was all ga-ga about the current achievements and future prospects of the company. This got me really interested. He scheduled a technical phone interview with an open-book problem to be discussed that I was given prior to the interview. I had thought about a solution in mind that I think I implemented quite well during the interview. I had taken into consideration the optimal design/complexity for the problem and its future extension and code re-usability. I also thought I and the interviewer connected well to the point that our discussions about the technologies, products, work experience etc. went good 30 mins over the scheduled time for the interview. But, as other reviews stated, I too was ghosted... but with a reply stating they thought I was more suitable for a managerial position and hence, have been passed on for this one. Thank you for that!!
Yes, I've been a manager in the past and I know that if I really like a candidate, I would find a position for him/her in my organization ;)
