I went thru several interviews, beginning with the recruiter and moving on to the hiring manger and then to interviewing with some of the already directly reporting folks. The interviews were friendly, professional and more conversational in nature. Though I felt strongly I was the lead candidate and would have been selected for the job, the company decided to not fill the position and instead take a different direction. The hiring manager was sincerely apologetic. I would still like to work for this company as I find them to be forthright.
