I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Emerson (Boulder, CO) in Mar 2014
Interview
Interview was with engineers and a manager from the department to which I was applying. The interview was behavioral in nature, and was the only interview before a position was offered. HR handles all pre- and post- interview interactions, but the interview didn't have anyone from the HR team.

Question 1
(1) What is your favorite class so far in school. (2) What is your greatest strength and your greatest weakness. (3) Describe a time when you were on a team and the associated project did not go well.
Basic star questions. Really just to see if you are a person they would like to hangout with. Pay is slightly lower than any other companies but they want you to come back each term until you graduate.

Question 1
Name a time you faced a challenge and how you solved it.
I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Emerson (Saint Louis, MO) in Oct 2018
Interview
There were 5 interviews total. 1 was a 15 - 30 min phone interview. It was pretty basic. No difficult technical questions. Just talking about my experience and technical classes. The other 4 interviews all happened during the same day. Each lasted 30 minutes. One was with one HR rep and then the other 3 interviews that day were 2-on-1s with employees from the team I was going to be on. Some VP/directors, team leads, and business analyst. It was all pretty much behavioral interviewing and me talking about my experience. Not very stressful, just long. If they invite you in for an interview, that means they like you . . . but it doesn't guarantee an offer.

Hire-view intern, it was an online video recorded interview. We could practice with couple of questions before we take actual interview part. So make sure you practice properly. We have 3 minutes to answer every question. Plus point there’s retake, so you can answer it again if you don’t like your recording.
