Interview was easy, very fast. They wanted to get me on board but they needed a background check. I filed for bankruptcy a few years ago, it showed in the report, therefore they rejected me. I understand private companies have the right to pick and choose who they want to work for them, and that they may not feel comfortable with someone that struggled with $ to handle their customers. Even though they didn’t know or cared to ask what the reason for bankruptcy was, in my case due to illness. What bothered me was the excuse I was given, “That FINRA would not sustain my license if there was a bankruptcy on my past”. I ‘ve been with a financial institution for years, and was upfront about my bankruptcy, they took me and I’ve been licensed for years. FINRA just needs you to report it. I would have more respect for them if they would have been honest, and maybe ask that question as part of the interview process.
