I had a disappointing candidate experience. I was scheduled for a phone screen, but no one called at the scheduled time. I followed up afterward and later received an explanation that the interview had been canceled because the hiring requirements had changed, but that the cancellation message apparently had not gone through.
I understand that role requirements can change, but candidates invest time preparing for interviews and should be notified promptly when a scheduled interview is canceled. The recruiter was polite when they eventually responded, but the process felt disorganized and not very respectful of candidate time.

The interview did not take place. I was scheduled for a phone interview, but no one called at the scheduled time.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Endava (Bengaluru) in Mar 2026
Interview
Only lasted till the first round, which was taken surprisingly by a Delivery Manager. Quite perplexed to be interviewed by a delivery manager who knows nothing about the product. Product Management is very loosely used these days to make a position demanding; however, it's all hogwash
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a product that you have handled as a Product Manager
- recruiter screen: went through the qualification bullet points in the job description verbatim, line by line asking if you have experience Y/N
- asked if I have experience with JQL, attempted to explain it is simply a way to query JIRA like many other solutions and that although I have not needed to do it in the past few years, it is a easily picked up similar to SQL, python for which i have experience
- recruiter stated they needed someone with 'expert JQL skills' and stated if this changes they will follow-up and ended the call immediately.
- If you are looking to hire product/engineering talent you should look to have recruiters that have the bare minimum understand as to what exactly this role/requirements are instead of asking yes or no questions
