      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Entain (Sofia, Sofia (city)) in Feb 2017

      Interview

Job interview process - that's precisely the right wording because the interview is carried out in consecutive stages. First step: received a phone call where I was asked to talk a bit about myself, to share my reasons for applying and relocating to Bulgaria, and to tell them about my latest job. Most of the time we spoke the language required for that job position. Natural and easy-going conversation. What impressed me most was the interviewer's unfaked friendliness - he was doing his best to help me feel relaxed. Answered all my questions clearly and concisely. And he wasn't intimidated by my direct question about salary and benefits so I was clear on what to expect even before scheduling the face-to-face meeting - something which happens rarely as most companies I've spoken with during the last couple of months won't actually disclose the salary until the final interview. Second step: personal meeting and a written skills review test to check case-writing, language comprehension and communication skills. Again, I found the general attitude of both HR staff and colleagues warm and welcoming. The staff greeted me with a smile - a genuinely warm one, not just the formal, strained, ''ok-let's-go ahead-with-the-business-at-hand'' type of smile. Early morning, so they offered me coffee and then ushered me in a conference room together with the other applicants. Spacious room with plenty of natural light. The staff provided detailed instructions on how to proceed with the written test and encouraged us to ask any questions to make sure we are clear on all the requirements. Relaxed atmosphere, easy-going attitude. The final interview was a panel discussion. Interviewers: friendly and caring - I could feel they really wanted me to relax and be myself so I could show my best. And I have to say I'm really sensitive about the other person's attitude because at times I still have a slight stage fever before meetings and presentations /despite my experience/. Interviewers: mature, down-to-earth persons. Composed and confident. Kept attentively listening to what I was saying, following up with relevant open-ended questions based on my own words. Room for improvising and freedom to be yourself. No judgment, no faked interest, no unnecessary strain. On the contrary: I felt accepted and encouraged.
