      Summer Internship Interview

      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Esri in Mar 2013

      Interview

I applied for a summer internship sometime in early November, and was contacted for the position mid-March. A telephone conference date was scheduled for the following Monday with representatives from the interested department. The telephone interview lasted about 30 minutes. The interviewers gave me a brief overview of their department, as well as the type of projects they would be working on. The interviewers asked if I had any questions about the position. The majority of the interview was me asking questions. The interviewers seemed to encourage this, and liked that I had many questions about the position. Note: I also went through a recruiter in HR, and was not interviewed until I followed up with HR in March. Shortly after I sent the recruiter a follow-up email, I was contacted for an interview. I was offered the position a week after the interview.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The didn't ask very many questions. They only asked some basic questions like "Do you feel comfortable working on your own," "do you feel comfortable asking questions," and what my housing situation would be like if I were offered the position.
