I applied through university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at ExxonMobil
Interview
Hiring at Exxon seems to follow a long scripted process. You'' have an initial interview followed by follow-up conversations, and then be invited for a day at the headquarters. Be normal, be engaged, and it will go well. You can study up on Exxon Mobil simply be reading their website, their published yearly reports, and several books that have been published on the company.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The most difficult question is why you would want to work for Exxon instead of other companies -- do some research and get to know the company. Also, be prepared to sell yourself -- there are many candidates out there, why are you special? etc etc
Most of the questions were focused on hypothetical scenarios, also did go through resume. The interviewers are generally quite nice and will be relevant to the team that you are attached to.
