      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at FDM Group (Toronto, ON) in Nov 2015

      Interview

The entire "Assessment Day" event lasted from 9 am to about 3 pm. During this time, you will have to watch a presentation about the company, write 3 aptitude tests (logic, math, and Set Notation), all without a calculator, and within a time limit. I was well prepared for the tests in advance as I did some practice questions online in the days leading up to the event. Lunch was provided by them. Two quick interviews (one technical, one HR/business-related), each 7 mins, happened before lunch. They ask questions based off your resume, and then questions based off your answers, so know what you have on there, and review all the content you know before going as well. Some people complained that they ran out of time to answer, but if you're calm and talk confidently with detail, you'll find it a breeze. The last presentation was about the wage and contract terms, provided by HR. It is a 2 year contract, with a substantial penalty for breaking early. Training is 3 months (on top of the 2 years, so you're with FDM for a total of 15 months), paid at MINIMUM WAGE. Yes, they will provide you with an ITIL and BA certification, but with the amount of time and effort you will endure, you may as well take the courses online yourself. The training is rigorous from what I've heard and those I know undergoing it now. You have 2 weeks to decide if you want to stay or go. Since the company will take just about anyone, IT knowledge will be provided as well. I don't think I did that well on the tests in the end, but I did get a call for an offer. They seem to take quite a few people. I would not recommend this company, as the wage is low, especially for 2 years. They do have contracts with the big banks and other major companies in the city, so that experience/wage decision is up to you.

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at FDM Group (Toronto, ON)

      Interview

First, the recruiter sends an email and ask for a phone interview. They will ask you about your knowledge about MS and SQL and some basic question about your self. If you pass the screening, then you can go to their office for the final stage. Interview is quite simple but you need to consider the 2-year contract. (40k in the 1st year and 45k in the 2nd year)

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at FDM Group (Singapore) in May 2018

      Interview

The initial stage was a formal phone interview, it was quite straightforward as the graduate recruiter asked questions based on my resume and why I'm interested in IT. After which were assessment tests based on IT, Venn diagrams, situational, math questions which were quite simple as I came from an engineering background. The last stage was 2 separate interviews with the trainer and account manager. They seemed quite satisfied with my answers, with them replying "good" to some of my responses. After a few days later, I received an email of rejection from them which was disappointing as I've turned down a few interviews as I thought I passed the interview with FDM group and was looking forward to the email of acceptance. The assessments were quite unprofessionally conducted too as some of them were using their phones. Guess it was a blessing in disguise after all as I was told I (most probably) might need to OT and work during the weekends if needed.

      Interview

Got a phone call 3 days after I applied online; scheduled a brief phone interview. Phone interview: mostly questions about FDM; make sure to know the basics of how the company works. I got invited to do video interviews a day later. Video Interview: skills-based questions are asked in a prerecorded video and you have 45 seconds to answer. Not too hard but some questions caught me off guard. I was invited to the Assessment/Interview Day the day after finishing the interviews. Assessment Date: I was in a group of 7 people for the assessment day, but I was the only non-developer stream. The day overall was very pleasant; everyone in HR did their best to make us feel welcome and at home. The usual testing was done (math, IT, set theory) and then we were asked to do a "group activity" involving solving riddles while some of us were pulled away for interviews. Strength-based questions were asked again; I was much better prepared after googling around for "strength-based questions" and practicing answering them. Technical questions are asked if you mention them; you don't need to answer all of them to pass but you must demonstrate interest in the IT field
