Interview
I'm really surprised to see some of the negative feedback on here about Farber's recruitment process because I had a really positive experience despite not getting an offer. It seems like they've taken the feedback in these Glassdoor comments to heart. I made it through 3/4 rounds and every person I met came off as authentic, passionate about the work, and really thoughtful. The recruiter I dealt with was Kate, and she was suuuper responsive and transparent about where I was at in the process and always followed up when she said she would. From my first screening to finding out I wasn't moving forward, it was about three weeks. Ultimately, they let me know they were looking for someone that leaned into a specific skill set, but even that interaction was kind and respectful.

Interview
We all know the job market is bad, and we want to grab every opportunity possible. So if you decide to go through the interview process with them, just expect to waste your time.
I was told there would be 3 rounds of interviews and ended up meeting with them for 7 times, only to be given a verbal offer followed by a rejection. In the verbal offer, they walked through the perks and salary. While salary is lower than market rate, I only asked the perks to start on first day of the job and more vacation days to compensate for the gap. Keep in mind that I was clear that these were not firm requirements and I was open to negotiate. Then they sent me an email saying they cannot offer the compensation that I was looking for… I was confused and frustrated because I did not ask for anything more than what they offer on the salary structure. A few days later, they posted the job description again with an even LOWER salary range.
That’s when I set peace and moved on with almost a month of time wasted.

Interview
First round was told to meet the manager for an hour but ended up with a panel interview with 2 additional team members and took 1.5hours. Second round was told to meet the VPs but ended up adding a case study before that. Final round was with the VPs.
Offer given, then prolonged and unclear decision after counter — very frustrating process
Pros:
The team members I met were friendly and the role itself was interesting.
Cons:
I received an offer for the position and later submitted a compensation counter. After that, I was given a clear timeline for when I should expect a response.
Unfortunately, that timeline was missed with no communication. Despite multiple follow-ups, I did not receive any clear update for several days. Only after escalating and reaching out directly to the hiring manager did the process move forward, at which point I was told the company could not meet the compensation discussed.
By then, I had already completed multiple interview rounds and a detailed case study, investing significant time and effort. The prolonged silence, missed commitments, and lack of transparency made the experience extremely frustrating and unprofessional.
Advice to Management:
If expectations or timelines change, communicate proactively. Candidates deserve timely updates and respect for the time they invest, especially after receiving an offer and engaging in further negotiations.
